What is the steps challenge?

This is our third pedometer challenge after we ran very successful events in 2015 and 2016. The aim is to promote getting fitter and healthier, while raising money for NETA and having fun with friends and colleagues. We aim for the challenge to suit people of all abilities.

We ask people to donate £5 to NETA as an entrance fee, and to enter the challenge either on their own, or as a team of up to five people. You set your own challenge and work towards a goal over four weeks. This could be to reach a certain number of steps, to virtually walk from one location to another, or meet an average daily step total. We have provided some links to help you set your challenge here. If you like, you could compete with other members of your family, with colleagues, or rivals from another office.

We encourage people to use their own pedometers, fitness trackers, or step counting smartphone apps.

Who can enter?

Anyone! We want to promote health and fitness and spread the word about aphasia as far and wide as we can! Even if you have limited mobility you could wear a fitness tracker on your upper body. The aim is to move a little or a lot more, according to your ability.

What are the prizes?

When is it?

The step challenge starts on 30 April 2018 and lasts for 4 weeks.

Sounds great, where do I enter?
